Minecraft: 3x3 Spiral Door [Compact And Fast!]

More 3x3 action! This time the door features a really cool spiral opening and closing sequence!

I have done a few of these in the past, so for those who are playing on old versions of Minecraft, you might wanna check here!

Just as a small heads up, in the tutorial I made a minor mistake. If you want the spiral to look better, reduce number of ticks on the top left piston repeater to 3 ticks, and the repeaters leading to the bottom left piston should 4, 3, 1. Cheers!

If the middle block gets stuck, make sure you have the "useless lever" turned off, not on. As he turned it on on accident in the video, many of you did the same but didn't turn it off afterwards.

I just built this door for my chamber in a friend's server, and they just broke it by flicking the lever repeatedly, this is why you can't have nice things in minecraft

Dude, you're an absolute redstone genius. I just wish your tutorials were more user-friendly. You just BLAZE through the steps and pieces, and I have to frantically pause, rewind, remember what you did, pause, play, rewind, pause, etc. What would help me and probably others is if you built a series of pieces (two blocks up, a piece of redstone on this block, and a sticky piston coming down) and then took a second to breathe. Just breathe. That gives me a chance to say "Okay, there's the end of a sentence. He's used a period there. It's a good place to pause and build."

Instead, your tutorial is just a sequence of commas.

Solution --> Turn off the first placed laver at 2:12

When "hiding" the redstone, I messed it all up, so there goes 1 confusing hour of my life.

I'm trying to make this horizontal (fall through a shaft, trip wire opens this spiral portal so you keep falling through). It's not going well. Redstone doesn't like sticking to a wall, so everything has to be turned. I'm not smart enough for this.

For these demos you should really pull out and elevate the switch a bit so that you can look at the door while switching it on. Otherwise you hit the lever, and then have to suddenly jerk the camera upwards to see the motion begin and you miss part of it.

Hey you probably won’t see this but, it seems that this door has stopped working for 1.19. I tried to build it 3 or 4 times ( the bottom Circuit) and It would not function properly. Maybe you could make a new version of this video?

if yours isn't working recently, make sure that the lever that "doesn't do anything" is TURNED OFF.

If the middle block just floats there try flicking the first lever you placed, this seems to fix it for me.

Best 3x3 door I've seen. It's the only one I've seen that doesn't _appear_ to have you waiting an extra step while the middle block is dealt with. Takes the same time but the smoothness of it is just wonderful!

It would be way easier if you made the “door” blocks another colour
