This is a continuation of starting a tithonia sunflower garden. I am busy planting and digging. This garden is coming along great! I am very excited seeing the potential of this tithonia garden being realized. I loved seeing a butterfly coming by to visit. Soon there will be swarms of butterfly and bees and wasps all around this garden. I am enjoying seeing my plan coming together. I have more garden areas to work with. Those other areas are on hold to allow the compost to do it thing. I might put some plants here and there as I wait. For now my attention is on sunflowers. In future episodes I will be using blood meal and bone meal as I plant the seedlings. I am curious to see if it will make a difference using those nutrients. I have used Miracle grow plant food on the plants I have planted in these first four episodes. I also have spread compost around them and potash. You will see that in future episodes. Please remember if you would like to grow some tithonia sunflowers please tell me so I can send you some seeds for free. The butterfly will love you for it! Make sure you have a lot of garden space for them. They are big! The weather has been beautiful here. Hot, humid, buggy, weather is right around the corner. I keep going now matter what. I wish we would get some rain. Not too much!! Sunflowers would rather be too dry than too wet! It all about having fun! Gardening is a lot of work! Great exercise. It can be frustrating. I always remember, I can keep trying and learning. There are many obstacles involving gardening. I have found the toughest is quality soil. A close second is critters. Insect, deer, are two which can destroy all hope quickly! I have been seeing deer eat plants they never touched before. I have given up on tomatoes due to stink bugs. My son is growing some nice tomato plants. They have small fruit now. I have seen it before. The fruit do not ripen properly. They do look nice so far. One of my tithonia is going through a tough time. I am not sure but, some plants last year would suddenly die or just barely languish on for awhile. Others grew and grew. Planting seeds is like playing the lottery. Every seed can be a winner! I will be planting other seeds I saved from last years gardens. I have cotton, zinnia, and two different marigold.. I have some green bean seeds and a few more sunflower seeds I bought last year left to plant. I think I have planted enough tithonia seeds. I have tons left if I want to plant more. I still have 20-30 tithonia seedlings left to transplant. That is close to what I have planted so far. There will be plants which do not make it. Re-placement plants can be a nice way to keep your garden full of healthy flowers and plants. I have a tendency to plant close together. Some times one or two dying makes more room for the healthy ones. I see my video finished uploading so I will wrap up my details now. I want to thank everyone for watching! I hope good luck for you in your life every day! God bless!

I love how your soil looks so loose when you try to turn it. You will have a fantastic garden my friend! Don't let the deer discourage you!
