In this video I walk through and compare 3 different popular styles/types of coffee roasting that you can do at home, from the most basic to basically pro. I never mentioned it but the bean I'm roasting in this is a Brazil Cerrado.

My favourite way to roast coffee so far has been using a whirley pop. It keeps the air in, moves the beans around well and heats the beans pretty evenly. It's not as even as a roaster like the freshroast but it's 1/10th the price.

Would be an idea to add a switch or maybe even a pot on the element of the popcorn maker. I'm tempted to take apart mine just to see how easy it would be.

Am i hearing a difference in the sound when you pour each roast into similar bowls? The last hooky roast sounds crisper. Like glass. I imagine it's because more moisture is removed.

roasting peanut is something like roasting coffee bean :)) shaking too often make my hand feels tired, so I switch to heat gun. The information is on @wiredgourmet channel.

you didn't really roast the coffee beans in the carbon steel pan, i use a carbon steel wok and i get amazing medium roast coffee.

Just save up and get a decent home roasting machine! This looks painful and too much work!
