Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has released the specifications for its self-made next generation fighter jet, the TFX which is officially known as the Milli Muharebe Uçağı (National Fighter Plane).
According to the official specifications mentioned on the company's website, TFX, the aircraft's maximum take-off weight will be greater than 60,000 lb (27.215 kg), and will fly at a speed of mach 2, 19 meters long and 12 meters wingspan.
It aims to produce a modern aircraft designed with domestic capabilities and capabilities that will replace the Turkish Air Force's aging F-16 aircraft, which will be decommissioned from 2030 onwards, with the National Combat Aircraft Project (MMU) initiated to meet the needs of the Armed Forces.
