My 4th grade teacher was almost my downfall due to unintentional ASMR. She was a graceful lady and everything she did was so soothing: Gentle page-flipping, soft-spoken reading and instruction, the brain-melting tapping and sliding of chalk on the blackboard…nearly caused me to have to repeat that level.

Omg! You unlocked a memory. I've been watching ASMR for over a decade, but I have JUST remembered how much teachers gave me ASMR during quiet work and tests/quizzes!!! Also, anyone else ever get it as a kid at sleepovers when your friends are whispering late at night? It used to put me OUT.

Oh my god, this woman actually looks like the teacher that gave me my first ASMR. I was 7, and we had to draw a star on paper using a ruler and crayons. I was so tired that day, I remember putting my head on the desk for a few seconds. The teacher asked if I was okay (such a sweet lady) and she sat next to me to offer some help. She knew I was tired.

She picks up the crayon and ruler, and she starts ruling the most perfect star 7 year old me had ever seen. I vividly remember her voice softening as she concentrated on the lines, “one here, one here, one here…” and that voice combined with the crayon on the paper gave me absolute chills. I wasn’t fully aware of what ASMR was at the time but I definitely knew the sensation, and I loved it. Calmed me down so much. I’d do anything to be surrounded by that calmness again, I’ll never forget how comforting it was in the moment.

God the unintentional teacher ASMR, the first time I ever had full blown head tingles was during a test in school, room was SUPER quiet and the teacher was typing at this very like moderate medium speed with frequent pauses.

I don’t remember much from being a kid but My first asmr experience was in 2nd grade. We had a reading hour where our teacher to who this day was my favorite teacher, would read to us. She always had a tissue in her hand and a hard candy in her mouth. I remember being so relaxed listening to her.
