I was 12 when this movie released and I remember this movie getting promoted a lot and remember these toys being on Walmart and KB Toys (when it was still in business) shelves. I really miss KB toys, wish it was still around.

Oh, I had that R2D2 as a kid! The claw was a piece you could plug in, and when you pushed down on him, there was a spring inside the third leg that moved the claw forward. I remember he came with a pile of scrapmetal with broken C3PO parts in it (or it was a generic protocol droid, idk, it was solid gray plastic).

I also had that Anakin/Vader color-changing lightsaber. The blade itself was translucent and there were blue and red lights inside you could switch between with a button. The effect only looked really good in the dark, though.

Great timing, my figure focus line series covers this line in detail going out tomorrow 👍

This reminds me of that Phantom Menace coupon book that I found from 2000.

I remember spending hours on the Hasbro site every night for weeks looking at the figures and playing the games. I finally got a couple when a Walmart opened that same summer in my town and it was packed with product. I got every jedi released by the end of that year. It was a great time.

I remember merchandise was everywhere. I bought the video game . A week after it was out I had a bootleg of it. We watched it for months . To me this was the best of the first three .

I have this somewhere. I remember 2005. It was quite the year. Burger King was giving out the Star wars stuff. Toy stores all over had lightsabers and action figures. KB toys is gone now but toys r us is coming back. I remember the Darth Vader helmet was everywhere. Many years after that you could find it at flea markets.

La cantidad de productos nos dice que la expectación por el episodio III era altísima ; hoy, los artículos de las películas y series no se compara para nada con lo que sucedía en el 2005

I felt like my 8 year self from 77 watching this movie when it came out. I saw it several times while it played. My wife came with me to one showing even she loved it 😂 I’d love to see a directors cut of it to add all that footage I’ve seen over the years that were removed. Have a great day everyone 🍻

Still have these ROTS booklets.

That first R2-D2 figure sucked.
It was pinchers that came out of his head that moved when you're retracted is 3rd leg.
We didn't get a good R2 figure til the line right after ROTS with the jet blast base (that you could put with the super battle droid).

Dooku and the regular battle droid figures sucked this time around.
If you want a good battle droid figure, get one from the AOTC line

I have that Vader on operating table and half the vehicles.
I always wanted to try that lightsaber TV game.

Thanks for the video

I remember going to Toys R Us when these first came out. I bought the Darth Vader voice changer helmet & the color changing lightsaber. I still have them both. :)

This was the year I quit collecting SW figs until about 2019 or 2020. I was dissapointed in the prequels and had lost all enthusiasm about collecting. Plus I was hard up for money, and the price of the figures had gone up. I picked up a handful of these and gave up. Also the figure line split into three or more lines that year and it was super-confusing. I got a handful of those Original Trilogy ones and a few of the Saga ones, but couldn't get the differences straight in my head. Fortunatley most of the ROTS figures are super cheap on ebay now, letting me fill the gaps and catch up.

Hell yeah, this was my Star Wars. Some awesome toys. And the Legos were 🔥. And then we got the Clone Wars Toys!

Great time to be a kid. You could actually buy a figure or two with your allowance unlike today.

Episode 3 figures we're made by the same team that made the Episode 1 figures. That's why they feel the same. (Hasbro split the designers of the prequel figures into two teams that's why the Attack of the Clones figures felt different, all of them came back together for the Power of the Jedi series.)

My biggest regret is that I actually spent money on some of this stuff, instead of completing my vintage Kenner collection while the prices were still reasonable.

I remember Target had an exclusive Lava Reflection Darth Vader figure for Revenge of the Sith. Cool figure, probably not worth much now.
