"Good afternoon. We are all the people in charge of Tampa, and we've failed to solve a pretty basic problem of public safety, which are literally our only jobs. You might think I would quit my job in disgrace and let somebody competent replace me, but you would be wrong. Instead, let me tell you all about how we're going to continue to fail at this and instead divert your attention to what is basically a side issue."

Step 1 in solving this issue is to tell 3/4 of "the community" to leave the room and stop making things worse.

How about just calling for an end to all violence in general? Knives, blunt objects, poisons, strangling, red mini-vans at Christmas parades.. these acts are all flying under the radar because of the big bad 'G' word.

I'm surely not advocating for criminals to have guns, but they are going to find a way to do harm if they really have the intention. "Gun Violence" is not the only issue here.. the heart of the problem is in the hearts of the community.

Tampa is a violent place to live period, it's not just the area it's the people who rule this area, Tampa turns a blind eye to the root of the problem with people like mayor Castor, Tampa Police chief and so on. Florida native from south St Pete projects here .
