It’s pronounced tos- toh-ness and it’s fried green plantains that are cut in chunks, fried and then smashed flat and then fried again. You use a contraption called a tostonera made out of two pieces of wood on a hinge, one side has an indentation for the plantain and the other side is flat and you place the fried plantain in it and press down to make tostones. Delicious! I need to get me a bag of these tostones ASAP!😂😂😂😂

Tostones are made from plantains. Have a garlic taste.
They are yummy.
In a restaurant, they come with a garlic dip, salsa dip, or a guacamole dip.

In central Europe there is similar store called T€DI, with € sign. And it has DT and euro in name,
perhaps the name was inspired by Dollar Tree in America
