Kinger is just being kinger. He definitely scared pommi before the terrifying angel could scare them. That angel was straight up terrifying when first seeing its floating head and the eyes in it mouth putting you in a hypnotic trance is just scary.

Ah yes, one my favorite jokes in the series is King suddenly yelling at the top of his lungs “WE’RE GONNA CRAAASSH” just to make Pomni more calm and reassured, such a compassionate thing for him to do
