I had decided you had 'retired'. Glad you're back and love the approach you take using live versions. Daryl and Leland were going off on this concert. I think Sklar said this is one of his favorites.(Phil brings such energy to his concerts) Regarding ballad/duet with Bridgett Bryant in Berlin 1990 Serious Hits tour is special. Maybe its the 'emotion' that you find boring?

Welcome back, Ryan! Cool, I hadn't seen this performance. The guitar solo from the album is different with the keyboards added in. I always thought this song was a banger. That 80s sound is very prevalent here and his voice live, I agree, is awesome.

One thing I just realized is that you skipped two fairly important songs in Phil’s discography. Against All Odds was his first number one hit, but was released on a movie soundtrack between the Genesis shapes album and No Jacket Required. Easy Lover was a duet with Philip Bailey of a Earth Wind and Fire, and was on a Philip Bailey album that Phil Collins produced. It was a big crossover hit, reaching top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100, black singles, and rock charts. They were very instrumental in setting the stage for No Jacket Required to become the monster album it was.

Hey Ryan, stumbled on your channel a few weeks back (i'm a huge Genesis/Gabriel/Phil, and all the Genesis members stuff). Been a fan since the early 90s when i was in high school. Really enjoyed your reactions. Thanks for making the videos man. Agree with you, if only Phil would of cooled it a bit with all the ballads... that's where all the criticism comes from. The guy is one of THE greatest drummers there was. You should check out Brand X just to get another side of Phil (Phil the blistering fusion/jazz head player).
