Phil is certainly the King of Heartbreak Songs. Nobody can belt out songs like this, “Separate Lives” and “Take a Look at Me Now” in quite a heart wrenching manner like him. 😢

One of the most powerful elements for me with this entire album, especially this song, is the irony of how I would fall in love with this record at the age of 7, and later in my life it would play out as if I could have written the lyrics and songs myself.
