This game has been one disaster after another. Something I was so excited for and now I'm so put off that the last two days i've barely touched it.

Absolutely nothing works, tried compatibility, firewall, view integrity or files, reinstalling, run as admin, update windows, you name it and nothing works

**POTENTIAL FIX IF NOTHING ELSE IS WORKING**

So, I also had no luck with all of the fixes suggested by other people such as "Verify Integrity Of Game Files", "Re-Installing The Game" and that lot. Until I tried something myself, if this doesn't work, don't hate on me, but this is what worked for me.

So, on Steam when you start Cyberpunk, it opens something called REDprelauncher (which is a launcher for the actual game). Then you click play and the executable (Cyberpunk2077.exe) launches. The game would constantly flatline until I did this.

In the game files, REDprelauncher(found in steamapps/common/Cyberpunk 2077) and the Cyberpunk2077.exe (found in steamapps/common/Cyberpunk 2077/bin/x64), I decided to right click on them, go to the Compatibility section and I ticked these two boxes for both - "Disable Full-Screen Optimisations" and "Run This Program As Administrator". Once I applied these settings to both the REDprelauncher and the Cyberpunk2077.exe files, the game launches through Steam with no problems at all. You can earn the Trading Cards and Steam Achievements. You can even have the Steam Overlay enabled while playing - which many people said they cannot do.

It is worth noting, I have Cyberpunk installed on my SSD, I have the latest version of Windows 10 and the latest Graphics Drivers, so make sure you try to do as many of these steps as possible beforehand.

I hope this helps, sorry for the lengthy comment. If this doesn't work for you, feel free to let me know if it has or hasn't worked and I'll try and help you. This is how I fixed it for myself when it was constantly flatlining.

If you have been playing without using Steam (using just the files to play the game) and have met the criteria for some of the Steam achievements, you will not unlock them unless you do them again.

3:46 "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES" this should fix it, some of you will have a 7.2gb file missing. Download it, and it will work.

Just bought the game and installed thru steam. Getting this error no matter what I do, reinstalled game and verified many times. I guess I just have to wait for another patch to get a chance to play.

I did everything I can possibly do, and I am pretty tech savvy in these things so no idea wtf is this trash.. It just stars doing something for like a second, opens process and then it gets terminated right away, not even AV says anything, windows defender trash is turned off, updated everything I could.. Guess I wont be playing this, tho that might not be that much of a tragedy, I heard the game doesnt live up to the hype created around it at all

If the game starts and takes you out of the game when you press space, then repair all Microsoft Visual C++, change the game from Fullscreen to Windowed and restart the Laptop or PC

CLEAN UPDATE OF GPU DRIVERS
UPDATE TO LATEST WINDOWS VERSION
OPENING GAME FROM EXE
REPAIR GAME FILES
REINSTALLING
RUN AS ADMIN
DISABLE ALL OVERLAYS

I wanted to help people who are experiencing flatline after this newest update. Turning my keybindings to default fixed it. Don’t ask me why cause I have no idea

⚠In my case, the antivirus program prevented Cyberpunk from starting (Avira) >>> Uninstalled Avira and now i use Windows Defender. And now the game starts at the speed of light (!!!) and the PC performance is much better.
