I really love this game. The only issue i have with it is when i get to turn 200 or so my game gets EXTREMELY laggy. Then again it may be my computer

Gamespot doesn't do the best reviews, but this game is actually pretty good. The tutorials tell you all you need to, they're not that hard to understand. You probably screwed up like a lot of people on the research, to the right of the icon bringing you the wafflish explanation, are icons telling, clearly, what the research does.
Its got a great community and developer, with all kind of polls for new factions and options. All the DLC's are free, and amplitude releases them as mods for testing.

Im asking if you face another player ina multiplayer: Do you start from scratch for the match or is it like a MMO where you use what you have alrready got each time?

I've been playing this game non-stop, it's simply awesome. IMO, Sins doesn't hold a lot to this game. I still like Sins, but it feels really watered down compared to this. This game simply feels much more strategic, like when you start a war over a very rare resource you need that another empire has. I had a game where a war revolved around 1 system for most of the game just for its resource. Very fun, just don't get discouraged from learning it right away, after 1 or 2 games, your good.

How can you compare them? Endless Space is a nonlinear 4X and Homeworld is a storydriven RTS. I havn't played ES yet, but are looking forward to it as I love a good 4X, but I have put many hours in both HW 1 and 2, and judging by this video they (HW & ES) have almost nothing in common.

This looks fucking deep. Amazing more games with this kind of approach are needed. And if they added more exciting combat land and space combat, would make this game truly a master piece.

I feel like I could really enjoy this game, as I am a fan of the Civ series, sim city, and other city/empire builders, but the combat here kills me...

While I know to there is more to a game than pretty looking battles, when I see a space simulator as grand as this, I expect massive fully immersing and tactical battles.
I know that shouldnt push me away from what is likely a great game but I want the Sins experience within the micromanagement this offers...

havent played it yet...i dont doubt it may be better and different..but still i cant take out that feeling that if there wasnt a "Sins of a solar empire" there would not be an "Endless Space" either...if u know what i mean
