Basic Nation Analysis - LA T'ien Ch'i

LA T'ien Ch'i functions quite a bit differently from the MA version of the nation, both as a function of different magic paths and because the game has changed around it. The usual TC infantry lineup doesn't work quite so well against the crossbows and heavily-armored troops that are prevalent in the late age, but the powerful cavalry that LA T'ien Ch'i brings to the field - including fear-causing Ancester Vessels - can function very effectively, and magically the shift in emphasis to Death and Earth magic can be extremely effective, though the nation lacks some of its earlier versatility due to losing the cheap and effective communion mages that MA T'ien Ch'i boasted.

The main advantage of Celestial Masters is that they can summon your Celestial Soldiers; other than that your Barbarian mages are generally more useful. I'll also note that your three barbarian priest-mages can't start below old age with the Unaging Blessing; they have a special tag that guarantees they start at old age unless they luck into a Nature random. It's not SUPER important, but it is worth noting because it does diminish the attractiveness of the Unaging blessing.

i dont understand how TW is good on the spirits. theyre base attack is paralyze which already stuns and is armor negating

Thanks for taking the time to write these up, General C! They're really helping me understand the game a lot better. Though, if I could make a request, maybe go a little bit more into the kinda spells and research goals you'd suggest going for in the early game?

I tried them once, did not win but i found their sacred horse archers/ heavy cavalry mixed with normal cheap horse archers are a pretty devestating force.

Luck is good Tien Chi has really good national heroes.

I wouldn't really recommend the Luck blessing on TC; it doesn't work at all on undead, so it'll do nothing for your meme ghosts.

From a graph I remember seeing Luck as a bless is most effective on low health sacreds as it functionally extends their life since the deathblow resist is more active.
