I received the new Vaultek DS5i Smart Station about a week ago and I wanted to give you my first impressions on this incredible little home safe and talk about some of its upgraded features over the previous DS2i.
What are your thoughts on the new Vaultek DS5i?

Anti-theft Features: Signature anti-impact latch design, anti-pry construction, and included HD steel security cable can tether the safe in place. AAA Backup Battery: Safe is powered by the AC power adapter (included) and is designed to be plugged in. For the price it should have everything included as well as heavier steel. Fort Knox pistol safe is 10 or 12 Guage steel. Needs alarm clock too. If I pay 500 bucks for something...it's going to have everything I need.

One of the things I wish they did is to add a function to block the touch screen. I don’t know how many times I have touched the screen by accident and mess the way I like it

So does this thing not connect to wifi? Because how will you know if the safe is tampered with unless you're within Bluetooth range?

$500, does it massage you and cook your breakfast also, rofl. As with the usual Vaultek trash i would love to see it survive being dropped on the ground and actually not pop open like most of them. But doubt they will with this fancy looking thing.
