I love NYC! It has this amazing energy that you can't find anywhere else. My daughter went to school in Manhattan and lives in Brooklyn. I have been there plenty of times. NY has the best food and has such a diverse culture, which makes New York the best. You may say that New Yorkers are rude, but in reality most of the people living and working there are not from New York and they are very nice.

My favorite neighborhoods are Greenwich Village, you get to be in the city without all hustle-bustle, Brooklyn Heights, very pretty with the best views of Manhattan and the Upper West side, best brownstones and apartment buildings and quite friendly. All though, I'm biased about NYC because I'm from here.

I just got back from NYC. I was surprised how safe it is to walk around the city in the middle of the night (maybe its because I was in Manhattan). I saw females walking around alone 2-3am in the morning. But when you get into an borough like Brooklyn you will see a difference

The first time I visited New York was in summer 2016, people are busy but are willing to help, the persons at the immigrations in the airport was like welcome to New York I cant forget that moment.
We even met a friendly person in a Mexican restaurant called Mexique.
