Want to draw people (use the Loomis Method)

Do you want to learn how to draw and paint people? Drawing and painting people are skill-sets that many people want to develop. It is a challenging goal if you haven't done it before, but is really fun and gives you a great sense of accomplishment once you master the skills. The best way I have found to bring your people rendering skills up to snuff is to use the Loomis Drawing Method. Don't expect miracles, but follow along and get started practicing drawing people.

My dad gave me a copy of Fun With A Pencil by "Andy" Loomis when I was a boy. Back then 65 years ago it was already in it's 13th printing. I went to the School of Art Institute of Chicago and am a practicing artist today.

I've been using Loomis for about 7 years. As a beginner moves through his/her practice (to gain skill, you must practice as close to everyday as possible)) you'll find that the linear guides Rusty is using will be more understood than actually on the paper. You'll visualize the lines rather than draw them. However, when my skills begin to deteriorate (which mine will do, especially if I stop practicing) I always go back to actually drawing the lines and the techniques Rusty is demonstrating in this video. Great vid, by the way. I'm subscribing.
