I keep polishing with Meguiar's ultimate compound to remove all the glare. Now looks like new again.

I tried this and it took 90 percent of the scratch out, there was a deep part that I chose not to keep working for fear I would do more damage, the end result was it left the glass smoothly polished, camera quality shows a small blemish in the picture, probably due to the deep part I chose not to continue polishing, it’s worth trying if you’re not a Professional photographer, and you don’t want to loose your Camera for a few weeks, if not, I believe, insta 360 in Irvine Ca, can be contacted, for repairing these cameras, it worth a call.

You did one thing wrong: don't mask anything and polish the entire lens! You removed the coatings where the scratch was but you have now some irregularities in your image because of that. I polished both lenses on my Hero Max and without coating the image is better than before. Regards from Romania

Looks like you removed a good value of material from the lens, so now the image has some kind of aberration (black book is curved on the final shot). Good attempt though.

Not sure I know anyone that could live with that result. Did you continue to use this camera alot after this, just curious?

I litterally got the same sort of scratch after my camera fell from 100mm off a stand the day after receiving it 😭 do you see much difference now the reflective coating has been removed? Is that noticeable at the layer edge?

Why not use a dremel tool to polish it out?

Paper towels create scratches. Use cloth. Good job otherwise.
