I loved learning about the Orisha years ago. For so long we’ve only thought of the Egyptian gods as the only African panteón because the Europeans also Egyptian culture. But I am a fantasy comic book writer and I used the Orisha to create a panteón of gods who created the world and some chosen ones kinda like you describe as Orisha and our Ori or soul. My comic is called Champions of the Orius!
