Today Reporters Without Borders released its annual report on the state of journalism around the world. It makes for some very dark reading. The report says that 80 journalists have been killed so far this year. That'ss 15 more than 2017 and makes 2018 the most lethal on record. Most of the deaths happened in Afghanistan, Syria, Mexico, Yemen and India. The United States joins this black list and comes in fifth place. The number of jailed journalists has also increased, currently standing at 348. Most imprisonments taking place in China, Egypt, Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Journalists should be neutral....and should take there ethics up and not be money hungry....
