I'll give my experience with 5G so far in Ny with this phone. It definitely depends on location. When I'm home, I get between 40-50mbps down. While at work, about 20min away going north in Westchester, I've gotten as much as 208mbps down. I'm pretty active around Ny and I've only seen the signal slip to LTE a handful of times. The speeds for download and upload have definitely increased after the latest update last week. I don't remember if T-Mobile combined or separated the 600mhz band now but whatever they did, definitely helped. This phone also has Sprint's 2.5mhz mid band for when T-Mobile switches that on later in the year. High band is going to take a while if you read up and look at all that needs to be done to cover everyone. Either way, this phone is a beast, 5G or not.

It's not only the best looking phone on the planet, but; it's a McLaren. No equivalent.

I didn't get mine for 5g either.. I actually turned 5g off for now - saves battery. Amazing phone ..

I get 60-80mbps on Verizon 4G LTE on a regular basis....so yes that is slow. And that is on a 2 year old LG v30. I hope to get the OnePlus 8 Pro when it comes out in 2020....

Unfortunately I had to return mine, the phone was steller, i loved it, I still wished I hadn't returned it however in my area T-Mobile is slow even on 5G and the signal was never that good, the best phone on the wrong network.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter that T-Mobile's 5G network is on slower band, for now. 5G is here. Why not be prepared? It's a matter of time before LTE will be forgotten. I think it's a pretty simple decision.

That's 5g. Depends on your area. TMobile states that 5g is only 20 percent faster. There is a city in my state that I've tested 5g and I got 160mbps and other areas I've got 50mbps

The 5G sign is piggybacking off the 4G signal... The phone has to separate the signal once received... Next year T-mobile will go to phase 2 and separate the signal and that 5G will get 200MBPS 💪
