Roki　Sasaki was 9 years old on March 11th 2011 when the terrible earthquake hit Japan and he lost his father, grandparents and home. I am still grateful that Americans reached out to a wounded Japan with "Operation Tomodachi".

While there are many opinions that SASAKI's acquisition by the Dodgers creates unfair competitive advantages, the Dodgers' scouting department has spent decades thoroughly analyzing Japan, investing time and effort traveling back and forth to LA, and finally their efforts have borne fruit with the acquisitions of Ohtani and Yamamoto. The excuses from other teams who haven't put in any effort until now aren't worth listening to.

If you see Beuler sign elsewhere and no Burnes coming to the Dodgers then you know Sasaki is a lock already and the Dodgers are not worried. Hell they can sign Burnes and get Sasaki and still be fine.
