My mother Magdalene Bailey and I had just had a terrible argument and I was angry while I was driving home. This song came on. By the time the first chorus was done I'd turned around. No cell phones in 1975 but I thank God for the conviction of His sweet Holy Spirit. I miss you Momma.

MY MOTHER (RESTING IN PEACE) WAS A SHIRLEY CAESAR FAN. RAISING ME AND MY 7 BROTHERS WAS NOT AN EASY TASK, BUT MOM BY THE GRACE OF GOD, GOT IT DONE. MOM TAUGHT GOOD MORALS AND VALUES, BUT IN DEALING WITH 8 DIFFERENT CHILDREN, INSTILLING THE MORALS AND VALUES WAS ANOTHER TASK. AS A YOUNGSTER, I HEARD MY MOTHER PLAYING THIS SONG AND AS I LISTENED, I BECAME MINDFUL OF THE MESSAGE I WAS HEARING. IT MOVED ME TO TEARS, AND IT HELPED TO KEEP ME UPRIGHT. EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS SONG, I REFLECT AND REMEMBER THE HARDSHIPS IN GROWING UP, BUT THE STRENGTH GOD HAD ESTABLISHED IN MY MOM, MADE ME REALIZE THAT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
