I went to Athens 6 years ago, and again last year. Huge change in the city and for the better. Once a tad grimy, now historic, bohemian and interesting. Love seeing you guys pick up on that. Very much an affordable city break I would now recommend to my friends.

Athens (and Greece in general) were never on my must-see list. And then I went last year in November. Now I tell everyone to go there (just not in the summer). It was wonderful. And the food...I actually ate Souvlaki at the same place. Great video that captured the essence of the city.

I love the blend of classic "in/out/around attache" information with the more reflective vibe of the "eassy-style attache". There's a million content creators that highlight the tourist attractions or swoon about the atmosphere of a place, and that's all lovely information about what it's like to *be* there. However, except for attache, no-one else tells me what actually *travelling* there will be like, including what the airport/station is going to be like, how much of a pain it'll be to get into the city itself, what to expect from local transport options and how expensive I can expect things to be. This kind of knowledge is usually only gained by actually going there and finding out the hard way, at which point you don't get to profit from it (at least not on the current trip), so having it distilled for you is amazing.

Well, as a native of Greece and Athens, I can tell you this: Athens isn't just the centre. It's all of the city. The suburbs are really amazing too, and are really full of many things too. But you presented the historical centre perfectly, nonetheless.
I also hope you gave a try to traditional foods and drinks: moussaka, pastitsio, fasolada, freddo cappuccino, freddo espresso (these two coffees are the Greek versions of the classic Italian ones), frappé etc.
For the souvlaki: we never made it with lamb, in America they really are making kebab branded as gyros, it's slimy as hell.

My two cents. I have been fortunate to be in Athens a few times, and as I write this, I look forward to being there again this year. I think this video is one of the few that captures the essence of what Athens is and is like. Great job.

I loved Athens (went in 2018). The people were lovely and hospitable. I paid 9 Euros for a great meal directly at the foot of the Acropolis. Also: well fed cats everywhere and the tram goes directly to the beach!

Whenever someone I know plans on using Athens as just a transfer station on their way to the islands, I strongly suggest staying for a few nights. I love Athens! It is right up there with other great European cities 👍

As a Greek I like that foreigners show the appreciation for Greece but apart from Athens there are also equally beautiful and marvel cities like Thessaloniki( second largest city I Greece), Chania ( on the island of Crete), Corfu etc 😊

Having spent a lot of time in Athens I can recommend this city to anyone. Don't just stick to the touristic center, get out and see the area's around. And don't forget to visit Piraeus!
