I’ve been a public school teacher for almost 40 years. I really don’t know why anyone (other than the folks that make their money off education being a business) would be against vouchers. It DOES NOT take money away from a school. The money is only given from the federal and state governments IF THE STUDENT ATTENDS THAT SCHOOL. The money for a voucher simply follows that student to the school the parents want them to attend. The previous school doesn’t have to pay what they normally would to “educate” that student therefore there is no need for that money.
