Have any of you sent your kid to private school, we made sure our daughter got a private education, every penny spent on it and we are working class . We didnt get a tax break like they did in Scotland or a rebate as we were not taking up space in a none private school.

If everyone sent their condensed to state schools and there were no public schools... imagine how excellent they'd become. My sister worked at a public boarding school where just one child's parents donated £2, 000, 000 for the school theater.

The demand for private or public school places will not diminish even if VAT is added. I went to a well known private school where currently fees are around £22, 000 per child per annum. There is a long waiting list for places as it’s a top school with high academic and sporting achievement that’s the truth. I was very fortunate to attend this school of course.

Less people in private school -> less spaces in grammar schools -> worse average level of education for all, so maybe don’t tax the schools that are currently relieving the overcrowded grammar and state schools

Based on IFS figures, VAT on private school fees would generate an extra ca. £65m per week which could be redirected towards the ailing state education.

Come to EU somehow no tuition fees still in mamy countries even for universities. Germany, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Finland are the options with top ranked universities without tuition fees. Germany, Austria and Norway are free for non EU citizens as well.
