Yerkel: A collection of Armenian Folk Songs

As written by Gomidas Vartabed and arranged by Ms. Mary Mahdasian. Performed by the Racine St.Hagop Church/Marzbed Armenian School Junior Choir.

In the early to mid-1960s under the direction of Ms. Mary Mahdasian, the Marzbed Armenian School students of St. Hagop's Church in Racine, Wisconsin learned the sharagan for the Badarak of the Armenian Apostolic Church and selected Armenian folk songs as written by Gomidas Vartabed.

This recording of the folk songs was sone on a Wollensack reel-to-reel tape recorder at some time during the 1960s by Mr. Jack Kamalian. The original tape was converted to this digital format.
