I’ve been watching dog leash videos for the past 4 hours

Earlier today i spent 2 hours following my beagle who got loose from his lead.
We were in a dense woods (no trails -- plenty of brush and downed trees)
and all he wanted to do was hunt with his nose 1/2 inch from the ground.
Commands like "come" and "stay" -- useless.
Then it started raining and he finally came back to me.
I gotta try training with a long leash!

I have a husky but he’s not trained to come when he’s out. He’s a sled dog so he LOVES to run. I felt bad for him because our backyard is not fenced in. So I got him this 100 foot dog leash, and it’s coming in today! I’m really excited for him.

Just adopted 3 year old part Saint Bernard and we think Anatolian Shepard and just discovered he bolts.
This would be the perfect tool for training him to get that sense of freedom but snap him out of the bolt behavior to let him know that is unacceptable behavior.

I just purchased a 165 ft / 50meter dog leash on fruugo. It was about 30 euros. The handle is not the same quality as yours but i can't wait to try it out and let my baby feel as free as possible. Yesterday i tried offleash she loved it so much but it ended up in a disaster. So i wanted to give her the same feeling as she had yesterday without ruining my day in not being able to get her back because she did not come back as called. Whenever i said okay then i am going home without you she ran as fast as she could back to me. But as soon as i tried to put the leash on she started wagging and jumping and making a game out of it. Luckily a man with a dog came along and she was so destracted that i could leash her on. But this is defenitly a solution to keep the both of us happy 😅❤.

I got one and it's constantly tangling - How do you store your leash to avoid this?

I have a Belgium malinois that needs to retrieve . I way 105 pounds he is 70. And 11 months old also reactive. We moved from my house to an apartment I havevbeen looking for a retractable 100 ft any ideas bc I want one that retracts I also thought about putting it onto a tree. I never do this around any people bc it's so dangerous with thr rope my dog runs full throttle . Any ideas yet to thr retractable NC yes they get so tangled

I looked up 100ft and this was the first video, I have an English pointer and she looks almost just like your dog. They are very rambunctious and high energy, great with kids but not so much with my chickens… she’s learning though.

I have a 50 ft leash and get some good hand burns so I gloves recommended! Have to be careful since he is a very strong dog. It's a pain to use since he gets all tangled up when clipped on his harness and/or collar. As for the collar am scared he snaps his neck in one of his zoomie runs or when his prey drive kicks in and speeds to chase birds/ducks. He is almost 1 year old and still very stubborn and when he feels that freedom he runs into the horizon, no looking back.

I have just bought this lead for my greyhound, it's ok while he ran in a huge circle but when he ran straight ahead he took me with him and I fell flat on my face, the speed of the dog can make this lead dangerous, I think I need some tips, as generally I think this lead Is a good idea 😨🤢🤔
