It's interesting that they didn't meet the sales goals they set, given that as a retail worker, we haven't really had a consistent supply of them in stock since Q4 of last year. They sell as we get them in, and while I wouldn't necessarily say there is a shortage, we also couldn't sell them at a faster rate than we already are, and I'm only in a medium density area to put it generously. I don't have a dog in this fight as I haven't owned a Nintendo product since the gamecube, but I would think sales were limited in the last fiscal year more by supply than by demand.
