Around The Next Dream is one of the finest Rock/Blues albums ever recorded. If not the finest.
Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Gary Moore created a masterpiece 30years ago, that just gets better each time I play it.

It's really sad to realize that these three guys have passed away... Thankfully, they've left an enormous legacy of music, so we can remember them.

Maybe the sun will go on shining
Maybe the stars fall from the skies
Where there's a river flowing
There is no way of knowing
Where it goes, no one knows
Maybe the rain will go on falling
Maybe the mountains touch the skies
Where there's a cold wind blowing
There is no way of knowing
Where it goes, no one knows
Living alone in the city
All of our dreams left behind
In every life there are seasons
Of laughter and sorrow
Where in the world did our love go?
When did our dreams say goodbye?
Living alone in the city
All of our dreams left behind
In every life there are seasons
Of laughter and sorrow
Where in the world did our love go?
Where did our dreams choose to hide?
Where in the world did our love go?
When did our dreams say goodbye?
Where in the world did our love go?
Where in the world did our love go?
Where in the world, where in the world
Where in the world did our love go?

Awesome album. Gary should have been doing his blues thing the whole time with Jack.

After buying their project album Around The Next Dream I had the joy of seeing these 3 greats play Live when they Toured & played tracks from that Album & from Cream also/as the short lived Power Trio BBM (which was their Surname initials) in the UK...
It was one amazing gig at the Glasgow Barrowlands that night on May 23rd 1994... One to be remembered Forever...

I can't remember the backing band but I do remember that when the trio of Bruce/Baker & Moore came on after them the 3 of them blew them away musically & sonically & I do remember the backing band being a 5 piece band or bigger...

The 3 of them had such a big sound but in a good way & I was surprised that the Single " Where In The World " only reached Number 57 in the UK Charts back in 1994 but then again there were more current bands vying for the top spots also...

It's still a sweet power ballad of Love Lost with a restrained but beautiful lead guitar performance by Gary Moore that just made it even more haunting...
I loved the contrast & the way Bruce & Moore's vocals played off of & complimented each other's, it was a great album that should've done better...

Who would've thought that the irascible Ginger Baker would still be going strong long after we lost Gary Moore & Jack Bruce, but I raise my glass to the nutter as he was & is one of the best jazz drummers to come out of the UK, the world even...

Here's To You Ginger Baker... Sláinte...

I'm sure this was as much as Bruce & Baker could stand to be in each other's presence.
