I felt a slight shift in Mountain Center, CA and checked the earthquake map and in a minute I saw the 5.2 posted

I’ve always been earthquake prepared. Lived in the Bay Area and went through the 7.1 years ago. We have a wrench at our gas line. Water barrel outside. Stuff in our vehicles.

I am in central Cali near the coast. This morning, I felt my lounge chair faintly shake, got up and asked hubby in the next room if he felt anything. Sat back down and felt it again. Checked usgs and nothing was noted yet.

Dutch, a number of years ago my husband was stationed at 29 Palms (USMC) CA. There was some earthquake activity, and they were training in a large desert area. He said it was the weirdest thing he’d ever seen—the desert became (literally) an OCEAN of sand. As far as the eye could see, the sand was moving in waves across the desert!! Some of the guys actually got seasick!!!!
