The Farizon SuperVAN is an all-electric commercial vehicle developed by Geely and built from the ground up on a bespoke EV platform. With a Euro NCAP Platinum crash test rating, an ultra-low loading height, an impressively low drag coefficient, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability, and an urban driving range of up to 342 miles, it’s packed with features that make this a compelling option van drivers. Add to that the lack of b-pillar and huge cargo volume, and it’s could be an exciting option for those looking to convert an EV into a camper...! Is it enough for this new brand to compete with industry favourites?!

And if you’re wondering why you can hear cicadas in the background, that’s because we jumped at the chance to get behind the wheel while the van was on display at Everything Electric Sydney! @fullychargedshow @EverythingElectricShow

German here: with regards to the window button: I only know it that way: push forward -> down, pull back -> up

Hey! Very nice video, I always love watching your channel. Just one little detail on the drag coefficient part: drag coefficient is only dependent on the shape (and texture) of an object, but not on its size (you can check on the wikipedia page about drag equation). So if you want to compare the efficiency of two vehicules, it is not enough to quote its drag coefficient, but also their frontal area. Unfortunately car manufacturer love to brag about drag coefficient but often don't mention the frontal area of the vehicule.

Push forward coincides with the natural motion of a manual window knob. from the top, push forward to roll down, pull back to rollup.

It's awesome to have a decent electric van at last.

As a benchmark for comparison: a Transit glove box it designed to fit an A4 lever-arch file so you can use it as a mini filing cabinet, and the door pockets are designed to fit a thermos flask. Paperwork and tea, the essentials for a self-employed tradesman.

Those rear doors: I'd actually expect them to open a full 270°, instead of the 180° shown, right? The best vans that I know are all like that, and it's extremely useful if you're unloading at the roadside 👍

I would be very interested in an electric van with a high roof and massive battery that has very efficient solar panels on top that is directly connected to it's batteries, while also having outlets and such on the inside for "van life" type stuff. I think that would be very cool. I mean, sure you can jerry rig it and have a cable connected to the charge port, but I would like it all integrated. Then you can live in it and go pretty much where ever the weather permits. Maybe you have to stop for a few days to get a decent charge, but you would have the option to do so. All you have to worry about is food, water and good tires. You could stay pretty much anywhere then. Also I imagine having a couple of seats or benches that could double as a compartment for extra wheels, just in case.

There’s two genuinely good electric vans now, designing an EV van as an EV from the start changes everything!

Nice video Window switches, sounds logical to me. My KIA is the same, effectively push down or forward for down pull back for up.... I think it's just you 😀 😉 Looking forward to your next video. Loving yours and Jack's car reviews

I appreciate the peep show reference 😄

The window control is unusual, but makes sense: push for down; pull for up. What is weird in EVs and automatics is the placement of Drive and Reverse: push forwards to go backwards and pull backwards to go forwards.

Good to see that this van is in Australia as we need more electric vans in our market.

Frwd down and pull up makes perfect intuitive sense. in fact that goes all the ways back to the days up rollup windows.

The white colour goes well with the cicada background sound.

0:47 Just a note that the Euro NCAP rating is only for it’s ADAS, not for physical crash test safety - which it hasn’t been tested for

I can see the basis of a good camper van in here. My only issue would be trying to find chargers with a 6.5m parking space. Most charging spaces are 5m or less. Fine for a car but tougher for a van.

That drag coefficient remark is impressive but slightly wrong though. The drag coëfficient is size independent. A range rover is 0.3 but for a range rover scale model it is also 0.3 and if you made a range rover the size of this van it is still 0.3 . A model X tesla (good aero) has about the same drag as a 2cv (bad aero) just because it is twice as big. Even though the drag coefficient is about half that of the 2cv

the back door can also be folded to each side of the car. the front bottom compartment most likely for documents (or tablet).
