The best way to avoid fake products is to buy directly from the producers, for my i just go to apple store if i’m getting an apple product, or i buy from their official website. I do the same for most things i buy. Another way is to check which stores are associated with the company and buy from them. I was trying to get a pair of Adidas and they didn’t have it on the adidas website, and i checked the stores that carried the same product and i saw several stores from their website that helped me make the right choice and buy from the right source. Guys, he’s right about the fake vs real pair. I bought the fake one off eBay. I had a real pair same color and the differences in the video matches 100%.

All the "special edition" colors like rose gold, silver, gold, and violet come with white cables
Red, Black(s), come with black cables you can even check online just pick a color of beats and scroll through the pictures and on some of the colors will have black cables and others will have white cables so don't think those are fake because of the white cable

Maybe the “authentic” pair you have is fake if you think they are supposed to come with a black remote/talk cable and if you think the serial number is supposed to be in a gold color I’ve had two pairs of beats solo’s previous to the rose golds I just bought for retail yesterday and they all have the whiteish-silver serial numbers. Try seeing if your serial numbers match up to the box you have I’ll be surprised if they do.

Excellent video. I just bought (knowingly) a fake pair and everything you said was bang on. And mine came without the case and a red cable lol! For $35 and to use only when walking the dog, it's fine.

I noticed when you laid them both down together that the Beats brand was upside down on the counterfeit headphone, unless you had laid them down in a different orientation from left/right ear or vice versa.
