China Unveils Advanced Military Aircraft and New Defence Systems at Zhuhai Airshow

The 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, also known as Airshow China, has opened in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, offering an impressive display of China’s military aviation technology. Among the highlights are the self-developed J-35A medium-sized stealth fighter, J-20, J-16, and H-6K bombers, showcasing China’s significant advancements in air combat capabilities.

New military technologies, including the HQ-19 surface-to-air missile system and a new attack reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle, are also being revealed to the public for the first time. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to view the Y-20 aircraft and the YY-20A refuelling plane. A special exhibit will allow visitors to explore the cargo hold of the Y-20, highlighting its military transport capabilities.

Scheduled from 12-17 Nov, the airshow coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), which will be commemorated on 11 November. The event is expected to feature a range of thrilling aerobatic displays, further showcasing China’s growing military and aerospace capabilities.
