Feel free to suggest more old tymey phrases in the comments here so we can use them on future shows. They air every Thursday at 7:30PM EST / 4:30PM PST

I love old sayings. "If it was a snake, it would've bit you!" "I told you twice the first time." So many more. This is fantastic!

Well, I officially feel old now.

One I'd like to suggest if it hasn't been used already. "Burning the midnight oil."

Of course, I knew all of them, after all I'm an "old timey' 75 years old.

Phrases to suggest: “going to talk to a man about a dog” and “you can’t get blood from a turnip”

I’ve only heard “My dog is barking” from Junkrat in Overwatch, and I’m realizing it’s because he has a peg leg. It sounds much more like an innuendo that way though haha

damn those phrases are considered old-timey? Im 26 and I've heard just about all of those commonly within the past 10 years except the three sheets one.

Man I knew all of these except the very first! Surprised that so many didn't know these. My husband affectionately calls them southernisms.

Two old time phases that still catch people off guard. "Screwed, blued, and tattooed" and "slipperier than snot on a glass doorknob." I know what they mean, and roughly where they come from.

I’m only 17 and I’m genuinely surprised people didn’t know what some of these meant
