Why is parallel processing so important? This tutorial will show you what parallel processing is, and why we use it.
This tutorial is not daw specific, so it will apply to all daws such as FL Studio, Ableton, Cubase, Reason, Studio One etc.

Parallel processing is a technique used in all kinds of EDM music production. It's most often used for compression. Compression is one of the most important processing tools in electronic dance music, but compression do have some negative side effects. Parallel processing can help you get around those side effects.

If you want to know how to set up parallel processing in FL Studio, check out my video on how to set it up here:

Can you just use the Mix knob on the right of the plugin in the Mixer? Like, youknow, the knob that decides how much of that effect is applied. Wouldnt that do the same thing?

Thanks for the easy to understand tutorial, FireWalk! Just one question: wouldn't this be the same thing as adjusting the Mix Level knob on the Mixer Slot that has the compressor on it?
