Hyundai i10 hatchback (2008-2013) review - CarBuyer

First introduced in 2008 - the i10 city car has been a huge hit for Korean firm Hyundai. To build on that success, the new model offers fresh engines, including an ultra-efficient 1.0-litre petrol, as well as a more powerful version of the 1.25-litre engine from the previous model. The looks have been changed too, with the hexagonal grille from the Hyundai ix35 SUV at the front and tweaked lights at the rear.

Driving a 2009 i10 daily on non-existent roads in rural India and this little one does the job really well!!

I have this one in india and i live in the hills . lots of curvy and narrow roads and i must say i love it. Well the 1.2 Kappa engine is not the toughest but for what you pay for it is a cute little car. Just as he rightly points out shifting gears is a pleasure in this car you almost get addicted to it :)

This is one of those cars India just loves!! Its cheap, it does the job and its backed by Hyundai's service network..

it's practical, spacey inside, not expensive, not flashy (a bit nerdy) but with loads of personality in it's own way. it's a small, frugal city car with small wheels - this car could be the spiritual successor to the Mini!!!

we considered one until we were told it was group 9 insurance.we purchased a citigo instead, group 1.I think these carbuyer reviews are pretty naff, headroom, legroom, luggage and water bottles.how about insurance group, actual mpg, reliability issues, performance, cost of replacement parts, i.e. lightbulbs, brakes, clutch.nah, too technical for carbuyer, size of water bottle far more important !!!

woohoooo...!! I own an i 10, 2009 Model, i 10 Magna, same colour, but in India, Hyundai calls it Silver White.. Nice car, very fine driving and I love it.. :)))

Even nowdays my 2012 1.1 i10 is relevant to today’s standards. I really enjoy driving this car, it got a magic that cannot be explained. Almost feels like the car is actually alive.
The engine even in it’s 1.1 version puts a great fights against very fast cars. Especially in the city, the 1-2 gear ratio is really good.

I bought the i10 over the Picanto because the 1.2 'kappa' unit is a great performer and air con is standard on the classic. If you can look past the so so styling it really is a fun little car to drive.
