The motor went in my dishwasher. The local company said £130 online I bought for £17 fitted within 20 minutes.
The oven element went in my friends cooker and the shop told them it was beyond repair and it was old, but they would take it off their hands. I went online paid £12 and it is working again, and finally my microwave stopped working local repair. Man said it was junk. I opened it up replaced the 5KV fuse and it is working fine and people wonder why our cities our shops are closing. It is their own stupidity and greed

I overheard a Curry's sales person impressing on a customer how much better a £50 hdmi lead was than a £5 one. I couldn't hold my tongue and just told the older couple they are ripping you off. Buy your cable elsewhere.

I find the HDMI cables sold by Toolstation to be good quality. I’ve had problems with the ones from Poundland (“green screen of death” and no audio being the common ones). I think the connectors are just poor quality and don’t make good contact. Never had such problems with the Toolstation ones.

I beg to differ a little bit. The plastic crap is way more prone to pick up disturbances.
