Buena Vista Social Club’s 25th Anniversary Editions, released on September 17th and comprising 2LP + 2CD Deluxe Book Pack, 2CD Casebook, 2LP Gatefold Vinyl and Digital Formats. These definitive editions are timed to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the album’s recording, and will also contain the original album as remastered by GRAMMY Winning engineer Bernie Grundman, as well as previously unheard tracks from the original 1996 session tapes. Other features across the formats include new liner notes, unseen photography and lyrics, with further biographies, art prints and a written history of the legendary original Havana club available exclusively within the Deluxe Book Pack format.

This new video for El Cuarto De Tula features footage of the legendary 1996 Havana recording sessions, captured by Susan Titelman. This footage notably showcases celebrated laud player Barbarito Torres’ one-take solo from the album, note for note, in real time.

I'm a young Cuban man in his 20s, born in Cuba came to the US when I was still a boy.

I have always admired the appreciation and love my family has for our culture but could never fully grasp it. Aside from the instinct to break out into dance when I hear latin music which runs through my blood, and my love for our incredible food. It had been a long time since I discovered something that triggered my senses and love for my culture. I'm working at a coffee shop at 7am in a downtown with tears flowing out of my eyes as I feel reconnected through this music.
