We have noticed that some students are misunderstanding why we used 15 minutes to solve 1 question. This question can be solved in a minute but that is not our aim. We are using this question to explain everything on word problem. The whole concept of word problem needs time to teach. We learned more here that are not needed to solve this question but will come in handy when solving similar questions. Your aim on Word Problems especially is understanding First. Once you understand, speed wont even be an issue. I PROMISE YOU THAT.

Without someone telling me I had to substitute that way, I feel like there's nearly no way anyone could have known to do that step. That's why I hate GED word problems. It's just too random.
