Giant Bull Moose Fight!
A mature Giant Bull Moose Fight keeps his two cows close when a younger bull sees them and approaches from a distance. The bigger bull will not tolerate his presence, and they start their head wag/size each other up move across the field. Despite the one being smaller, he suddenly makes his move, and for the next several minutes, they battle with ferocity, pushing each other up and down the hillside, antlers clacking, hair and hooves flying.

At one point they get locked and while they catch their breath and try to pull apart, I had to run with the camera on to get closer. When I got to a better vantage, they had slammed/crashed into a stand of alders. The audio was on, so you can hear it. No video for that part. Then after a minute of utter silence, wondering if they were both alive in there, the loser, bigger bull, comes out first. After he moves off, the winner/underdog emerges and walks off the victor, heading to the cows. The loser then stands downhill gasping for breath, a royal tine snapped and hanging, scuffed with antler scrapes all over. (But he is fine.)

It's tough to film in such high winds, and getting a fight recorded is not easy either. This lasted a while, we were very happy to be able to get this. Enjoy!

It's amazing the amount of stamina they both displayed in this fight. I've seen quite a few bull fights in my day but this one lasted quite some time. cool.

I never get tired of watching these amazing animals in their natural habitats. The rut is a very serious part of the season for the moose. We can always adore these absolutely incredible creatures, and how much they amaze us. These two bulls simply just demonstrate the courtship of the available cows to the winner of the battle. That would also mean, to breed for the fourth coming off-spring. One bull will be usually chased away after he loses the fight. It's in ongoing chain of events that we see with this animal through each year.

Awesome video. I'm not against responsible controlled hunting, but I'd rather watch and take photos and videos of these magnificent animals than shoot them. For those of us who can't access the wilderness like yourself, this is a real great opportunity to witness one of nature's greatest spectacles.

First-rate video MooseMan and team. This has to be my second go-around with this video. Without your videography and audio skills along with your intertwined harmony with nature, I would have not ever been able to witness such a battle of the titans. As you well know they are both winners, because of the experience they both gained; on another given day, the outcome could have been different for both bulls.
