CROSS: "I just killed a man... It was the most traumatic event of my life." On cross-examination, #TravisMcMichael admits his statement to police was inaccurate because he was stressed about the killing, not about going to jail for murder. Travis McMichael chased and killed 25-year-old #AhmaudArbery, who was jogging in the neighborhood. On direct, McMichael claimed it was self-defense.

Sooo, what I’m gathering is people CHOOSE to harass someone else and then claim self defense after they murder them. That’s not how it works. The audacity!! Good job on this cross-examination

@ 9:29 that question put a lump in his throat…you have solid confirmation of who stole a gun from your truck but confront someone that had nothing to do with your gun being stolen

"This is the mist traumatic event I've ever been through in my life." He means testifying. The lynching didn't bother him at all.

I have never seen a prosecutor jot down every freaking word and then used it against them in closing argument's this Lady is a Damn Beast!

"I didn't have a choice, I had to shoot" Really? Or I dunno, you could've stayed home, called the police, minded your own business, left him alone and not go on a lynching?

If going by this guy's mindset, my whole neighborhood would have shot each other and a few more dead. When our houses were being built, we walked around "inside", while the framing was going up, all the time. Curiosity, getting ideas for our own build, being nosey, call it what you want, but it was a daily occurrence in new construction, and nobody cared a bit.

I don’t think I’ve ever watched someone on trial dig his own hole this deep. That prosecutor just ate him up.

Love how she got Travis to admit that Ahmaud was NOT a threat to him, did not have a weapon, did not say a word to him, AND was running away from Travis. Brilliant!

He starts acting funny?? Wouldn't you if a stranger tried to pull you over for no reason? So sad.

Travis overestimated his ability to withstand this cross. She points out the absurdity of all his actions. A man is dead because of assumptions or speculation. It's not self defense. It's being a bully and a coward.

I believe him when he says he didn't think he was going to jail. He knows how much White Privilege is worth in the Southern USA.

This here is the most perfect example of minding your own business ..

Lie, after lie, after lie, after lie! ‘Were you lying then, or lying now?’
This is as desperate as a defense can ever get!

The “traumatic event” he’s referring to is being on trial for his crime, not murdering a man.

His arrogance at the ide that because he is an armed white man, a black man should submit to his will, and his confusion that he didn't, is mind blowing.

“This was the most traumatic day of my life.” What a total piece of sh*t! Without any thought for Ahmaud and how terrified he must have felt or how the Arbery family were destroyed by grief. I feel disgusted by this man.

I cannot believe his attorney thought it was a good idea to put this clown on the witness stand. He’s clearly not that smart. That attorney took their money, and he talked all three of them into prison.

The only thing Ahmaud did was go in and out of an opened house under construction and look around

I love how she gets him to systematically break down, in detail, that he did not consider his victim to be a threat when he pursued him with deadly force. She knew exactly how to get him not only to ADMIT to key aspects of multiple charges, but to INSIST upon them. By letting him think he was pushing back against the questioning, she got him to INSIST, on the stand, that he had no valid claim to self defense.
