The bear should not have been put down! Especially if he did not hurt any one. The people are in the Bears territory and he is doing what nature and hunger tell him to do, find food. People keep encroaching more and more in nature’s realm. If people don’t like it they should leave. A cage and a truck could have taken the bear far enough away so he would not inconvenience any humans.

I caught one in my house, a hog nose snake! Turned it loose after I found out what it was! It got me interested in snakes! About 6 mths later I bought a captive ball python! That was 30 yrs ago and she's 6 ft long! Her name is cupid!
