๐๐๐ผ๐๐+๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ค๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ง - Whirlpools Poster COMING SOON
Perfect for classrooms and home study rooms. You'll look at our poster and laugh, and then remember what it says.
Whirlpools are something we can experience in our own homes (on a small scale): you can watch water draining out of your sink or your bathtup or even the toilet! But whirlpools are also a natural phenomenon. They usually happen when two different currents, going in different directions, meet in a body of water. These can happen in the ocean, in a river, or even a lake.
We're used to stories and myths about GIANT whirlpools sucking down ships. But actually, in nature, whirlpools rarely pull in boats. If you know what to look for, you can avoid them! Also some whirlpools are pretty small. But some are very large, and are even tourist attractions!
