Here we are 3 years later. Honestly I feel this is tragically underrated genius movie. The funniest part is of course that the satire songs are not much different than songs you would actually hear on the radio today

I actually love this movie. One thing I will say about the music Conner writes is that they're not just good in an ironic sense, I actually legitimately like the songs in the movie, in particular Finest Girl and Incredible Thoughts.

I am attending Full Sail University on campus, and I can't say I'm liking the school much. They're very uncommunicative. I will definitely say that I've met some really cool people there, and the instructors are helpful. I won't discourage people from checking it out, but I'm disappointed that the school doesn't push story. It's very technical, and people pretend like a film can be good just because it looks cool. I believe any and every film school should value the importance of creating stories. The positives I will say, is that there are a lot of things you can learn based off of the technical side. I personally have no interest in doing Grip Work, or Set Construction, or Boom-Op, but I can acknowledge that people may want to do that, and it gives people the opportunity to work with that. I just want to write stories, but the envelope isn't pushed for that, so I feel left out. You're great Chris, that's not changing. Your decision to partner with the school is a decision I can respect.
