13.4 numerical can also be solved as
Data: F1= 0.1N
r1= 5cm or 0.05 m
And F2= ?
r2= 2 cm or 0.02 m
Now as charges are same so q1=q2=q is taken and value of K= 9*10^9 will be same
So as formula
F1=k*q*q/r1^2. And F2=k*q*q/r2^2
F1*r1^2=k*q^2...….I And
AS R.H.S of both equations I&II same so L.H.S aslo same
So by comparison I&II
F2*r2^2 = F1*r1^2
By putting values
F2*(.02)^2= 0.1* (0.05)^2
F2= 0.1*0.0025/0.0004
F2= 0.62N
