the necklace one is stupid not just because loads of our women and even non Arab women as Laara says have it. it doesn't make her basic. in fact in areas with rather low populations of Arabs it's a low-key way of signaling to other Arabs who is like you, who you can go to, who is community. if I want to greet a hijabi and I'm not comfortable enough to wear hijab my necklace and my coffee cup give me away but only to those who know. some people just don't like being harassed or called a terrorist. as for the bags a lot of us girls get gifted those bags by family members with better wealth as a way of attempting to signal to high-end men that we are an investment piece ourselves and that our family sees us as treasure so you don't get to treat us like trash. the nails I agree should be a shorter more practical length however some girls really like that and when you're thinking about it from a budgeting perspective you don't want to spend $68 plus 30 bucks tip on a full set and have them be the same length they were that morning when you were washing dishes and broke three. this is one of the moments where the boys should not comment on the girls they should look at the ground. 🇱🇧💖
