It's time an off-road drag race featuring three V8 super SUVs, the Mercedes-AMG G63, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, and the Land Rover Defender D90.

The Jeep Wrangler 392 has the not-so-fun job of pushing 35-inch tires, but with its massive HEMI V8 anything is possible.

Land Rover’s fastest Defender model is a hoot with its supercharged 8-cyl, and gets off the line with force. It gets a slight advantage for only having two doors, too.

The tried and true hero, the AMG G63. A car without aerodynamics on its side, but a legit weapon with that turbocharged power.

Something ain't right with the Jeep or driver. A regular 392 killed the LR in another channel's drag race and got the jump on the g63 up till limiter kicks in at 99mph. This version 392 has the recon package which is faster than the regular 392 because it has 4.56 gearing and it not limited to 99 but 110. Car and driver clocked the XR at 4.0 sec 0 to 60.

Jeep isn't as fast but would destroy them on the trail, and that's what it's designed for.

Same race against the Trackhawk. Wrangler is meant for torque not speed.

I don't understand why you test 4x4's drag racing on an almost "solid" surface. I detest American made "ox wagons" but in proper 4x4 terrain the Jeep would annihilate the competition.... Did the ladies who lent you the expensive stuff add stipulations?

why use a defender two door which is much lighter than a four door? are there no honest videos on youtube?

Also the tires make a difference the jeep has true off road tires the other two don't. The Lr and the Merc have all season tires or less the Jeeps tires aren't made for acceleration.

Everybody compares the Def V8 to the G63. Wouldn’t the G550 be a more fair comparison?

Tires make a huge difference. Give the jeep performance tires and also lets see how it would've held up with some weight reduction? (Doors and roof off) Overall great assembly of similar but not equally equipped vehicles. This was more of a drive off the lot comparison and because of that it should be a series showing them in multiple situations not just a drag race. Great videography and very entertaining.

Although the jeep lost its still the best bang for the buck re- the average person, more affordable, cheaper maintenance, and it won't worry you to much to bush bang it as fixing it will not cost a fortune not to mention all that electronic stuff on those fancy rigs is just more expensive things to let you down not to mention when your off roading ya usually only use a butt load of power to get wheel spin going through deep mud or up steep loose grades and I don't see the Euro posh hitting the deep mud lol.

No comparison the wrangler has 35s. The other ones have what 31s 33s st best and they got IFS IRS and more poeer

Why put the defender’s suspension in lowest mode? The defender should be the highest in off-road suspension mode.
