That run from "Call The Doctor" thru "The Woods" is amazing. One of the best album runs in rock and roll history.

My favorite Dead Moon song is whichever one happens to be playing at the time.

Bad Brains must be one of the most popular choices for What's In My Bag over the years. Good choice!

Replacements "Tim" remix sounds great. You can actually hear the bass now.

The remix of the Replacements Tim is a huge improvement of the original recording

I never expected her to pull Whitney. All at Once is my favorite song by her. They played it at my older brothers funeral in 1986 because he loved that album. That song gets to me in an entirely different way.

I'm not always of fan of re-mixes either but that is one of the best ever in my opinion. Such an improvement

From NZ and was teaching The Whale Rider novel to my English class last year, I appreciate Corin's random mention of it even if Carrie doesn't

I don't think there's anything wrong with a re-mix of Tim. Especially when it had the full blessing of Paul and Tommy.

The Replacements Tim re-mix is excellent. I don't know if it's better than the original just yet, but worth a listen if you are into the band.

Thanks to Corin and Carrie for the references to British bands from my yoooff. I saw Stiff Little Fingers in London and the singer (Jake Burns) looked very much like a singer in a band I saw in a pub Lisburn, Northern Ireland (one of few that British soldiers were allowed to drink in) singing Rory Challenger songs. I still to this day wonder if the young lad in that band was Jake Burns, pre punk. I also saw the Modettes quite a few times.

Iconic band alert. I love Carrie. Stiff Little Fingers "Alternative Ulster" still sounds good today, so does any Bad Brains song.

Neil and the Shocking Pinks was a good pull indeed! I think his voice with that rockabilly echo is terrific. That period of Neil albums was all over the map and quite cool.

How could the remix of "Tim" be a controversy? If you want to hear that Chris Mars could actually play a kick drum, or if you want to hear what kind of bassist Tommy Stinson is, the evidence is way more clear now.

Love all the records and recommends. Love Heitmeiser, I also didn't know Dead Moon was from Portland. Or that Stiff Little Fingers were Irish. woah. Super cool :)

😂 The bit where Corin tells Carrie that her "Tim" LP was remixed is priceless.

It's hard to listen to Carrie Brownstein's voice without thinking that Fred Armisen is about to crash the interview and turn this episode into a skit.
