As a daughter of a single mother (alcoholic step father), good fathers are extremely important! I promised myself I'm NOT having kids without one. Judge me all you want but girls need that protection and assurance!

A father's role in a son's life is absolutely crucial 👍

It is amazing how society ignore the overwhelming evidence of negative impact to children when fathers are not in the home. It’s been over a half century of research and it is consistently ignored.

I couldn't imagine raising our girls without their dad. Fathers are essential. Mothers are essential. ❤

I'm a homeschooling mom. I go to work at 3 am, home by 9 so I can homeschool, keep house, cook, and bake. I appear to "do it all". I couldn't imagine (and thanks to him, I don't have to) doing any of this without my husband who wakes up with me, gets the kids ready for the day, works, eats a cold dinner most nights because he insists the kids eat at a consistent time, who showers me with love. I am proud to follow my husband. I am not ashamed to say I need him. Thank you, Chris. Thank you for this beautiful life you've given us. Thank you that I don't have to be a blue haired vegan.

Actually it's proven fact that lack of fathers in the home causes more issues.
Not only for the men but for the women as well.

Proven by n study after study- here is a fact - what is the most common factor among prison inmates? Race- nope, almost all come from a broken home.

As the daughter of a mostly absent father - I can tell you - this is 💯 correct. It’s been lifetime of overcoming “daddy issues!”

As a son who has a good father, I'm so glad that he was around. 4 out of 5 of my hobbies are because they were his hobbies, and he just included me in on them.

As a single mom with an ex-husband that had nothing to do with his sons - I'm so glad to see more MEN being responsible dads!

It's because you didn't make EVERY comment about THEM. These people are so tiringly self-involved.

Sure you can survive with a single parent. You can also survive in a diet of bread and broth. I want better for my kids, personally.

Amen Brother. Thriving vs Surviving. America is upside down and inside out. We men need to take our country back and be the Roll model that you are Sir!!!

that burnt my bacon😡😡😤 Thank you, Nick, for speaking out!

I have both of my parents. And I am very fortunate to be where I am today!
I may be single and waiting for my husband. I have no debt, outside of utilities, rent, and gas.
I have no need or expectancy for more than I need.
I feel secure and protected by my father and brothers. I depend on them to rescue me from my keys locked in the car in the middle of the night. And I know my worth as a human being, and I am a CHILD OF GOD! DAUGHTER OF THE KING OF KINGS!!! And my Father is doing his best to represent my HEAVENLY Father, Jesus Christ. And I am NOT ashamed!😊

And they're Absolutely WRONG! Study after study has proven the exact opposite! Children need both of their parents, especially girls!!!

Loosing a husband to death or because of necessity is ABSOLUTELY different than children knowing that they were ABANDONED by both Mother and/ or father, who put THEMSELVES FIRST, over their children!! This is a Most SELFISH generation, they believe that their “happiness” is everything and of course they Never find it and by then the damage, to the kids, is done!!
Grow up people…. Kids need Both Parents!!
ITS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!!

So many sitcoms cut down fatherhood... it started on the 90's... fathers are just as important as moms!

Nick, we absolutely adore and agree with you! Ignore the silly trolls with ridiculous opinions based solely on the desperate need for attention! ❤

I am one of those women who was in an abusive relationship until my husband committed suicide. I am in FULL SUPPORT of the IMPORTANCE of fathers! Now that I am a widow/single mom I thought for sure my son would be right along side me ready to do what's necessary to help me get rid of my house and figure out how to move on together. Instead he's modeling the behavior he saw in his father... dump the load on mom to carry alone. In fact he said he wasn't going to be my indentured servant!😢

Keep preaching it!

My mother remarried when i was 12. She gave me the best father you could ask for. After being raised by the worst I learned what a Dad really is
